My Weekend Kowalski syndrome has turned into a Weeklong Kowalski and taken on a new twist. Instead of merely losing words temporarily, my overtaxed brain is now substituting sound-a-likes for other words. Ex: useful for youthful, or release for relief. It makes talking and Instant Messaging much more challenging for me and either entertaining or confusing for my friends. Speaking like a nutjob at times in front of my boss is far less amusing.
I've gotten into a highly nitpicky and verbal part of the season at work as I call and edit hundreds of institutions for the same information from the end of May through the end of August, while at home I've been writing fanfic from two different fandoms and original work fairly ceaselessly and doing HTML coding for a site I webmaster. I think all of those words being used in various applications at once are having an effect on me. My continuing fight with allergy-based torment and fatigue isn't helping.
I have to stop my brain from speeding so much further ahead of my mouth and fingers, but I'm not sure how.
