Barriers
I was in Manhattan for a doctor appointment today and that was an experience. Walking north to Bergdorf Goodman along Fifth Avenue took me near Trump Tower, which was blocks of cops, streets blocked off from car traffic, barriers, mailboxes completely locked down (so people couldn't put bombs in them, natch), and dump trucks as more barriers. Also, a cop sniper with a rifle on a roof of a building near Trump Tower. Everything was too disturbed and chaotic there for me to feel comfortable spending any time in the area.

The car salesman at Empire Hyundai continues to be a stupid waste of time: I haven't gotten any closer to looking at cars there than I did Friday evening, partly because I keep chasing him by phone when he repeatedly fails to call me about cars like he keeps saying he will. I'm not driving ten miles through traffic to get on site unless I know there are cars there I want to test drive. He also is too dumb to read simple, short e-mails properly.
