My physical therapy office is so frickin' hot that it sometimes stops me from being able to do actual PT because I get overheated, lightheaded, and nauseous during exercises. I've made my therapists there very aware of the issue, but the people I can talk to don't have a say in it.

During the renovation of Grand Army Plaza and the Pulitzer fountain in front of the Plaza Hotel, they ripped out all the trees! They say that when they're finished, they'll replace them with equivalent trees. Ha ha. This photo is of the plaza and trees 13 years ago; the trees had only gotten bigger since. (The animal heads were a temporary art piece by Ai Weiwei.) Like hell they'll plant anything this large and mature. That's going to be an overheated hellscape in the summers without all that shade.
