Heaven Official's Blessing: Tian Guan Ci Fu (Novel) Vol. 8 by Mò Xiāng Tóng Xiù
The Jun Wu|White No-Face situation was resolved suddenly and anticlimactically, which I found disappointing. I appreciated the callback of Xie Lian putting his hat over Jun Wu's face while he's down to protect his face from the rain though. Ling Wen not getting officially imprisoned or punished but instead getting put on setting Heaven's massive stacks of accounts right, which is worse, did make me smile. After everything that had been done to him and he went through, Xie Lian gets a happy ending and more respect from the other heavenly officials.
The bonus stories are mostly comical and rather fluffy, which feels a bit odd given how angsty and tragic the main storyline has often been for every single volume. It's great that Xie Lian has finally been released from his shackles, knows that Hua Cheng truly has seen him at his lowest and worst but is obsessed with in love with him anyway, and no longer has horrible things and betrayals happening to him constantly, but the tone shift is dramatic. While the stories don't go into any details about the actual sex acts, I'm somewhat concerned that Hua Cheng has sex with Xie Lian so... vigorously that Xie Lian often passes out. (Blink twice if you need to be rescued, Xie Lian.)
