Heaven Official's Blessing [Tian Guan Ci Fu] Vol. 6
by Mò Xiāng Tóng Xiù

I read this in one sitting, really needing to know what happened next, but the trauma Xie Lian went through is unrelenting starting at page 113 and sometimes creative in its "what else can go horribly wrong next and with/from whom?" way, so be advised. (Like finding out the origin of his magical "bandage" weapon and thinking of him using it so often since....) So much tragedy and betrayal. This god can hold so much PTSD. I'm now waiting to find out what Jun Wu did to Xie Lian in the past, since it seems like everyone else has piled on at some point or another.

The illustration page of the stabbing incident makes sure the reader can't miss what happened there, something that's helpful since the written POV is Xie Lian's and he's really going through it at the time, which affects his narration.

What is White No-Face's thing for Xie Lian? Bad me, I can't remember if the series has said yet.

But Mu Qing and Feng Xin chafe my nerves every time they're together for their constant, not-fun bickering, especially when it puts everyone in danger. Sit down and shut up for a while, guys.

(I really want to know the content of the artwork they refused to let Xie Lian look at. Is it really that outrageous... or X-rated? And it's funny, since Hua Cheng has been more steadfast in his devotion and support to Xie Lian than either of them, not that they--or Xie Lian, not yet--know it.)

I'll be picking up volume 7 as soon as it's available from my library system. I'm currently sixth in line for it.
