It's been almost a year since I last dyed my hair, a little less than 11 months, but life kept getting in the way. This week I got my hair trimmed for the first time in 7 months--life, I tell you--and dyed my hair back to red today. (I've naturally been a brunette since I was 5, before that I randomly was a strawberry blonde for a little over a year. In my heart and soul, I remain a redhead.) So glad I got it done. Knowing my hair and my past L'Oréal experiences, it'll take a few days to finish developing into the color it'll stay at. My past experience of Chic Auburn Brown is that it starts out as a browner red but quickly turns redder and stays red, whereas lighter L'Oréal auburns end up going much blonder on the ends as time passes. Considering how long it sometimes takes me to get the spoons to dye my hair, I want my color to stay true as long as possible.
On a practical note, I also appreciate how my dyed hair is less oily, so I don't have to wash it as often.
