I haven't put up all the window display photos I shot recently but did get a good number up. New photos consist of a Saks Fifth Avenue series promoting the current season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars that disappointed me. The colors are very pretty, but the displays lack much creativity. I mean, this is drag involved, c'mon. Also somewhat disappointing but posted are Bergdorf Goodman's windows connected to the Met Gala. (I know, I'm really selling these, aren't I?) But part of my disappointment is that some years they did amazing window series for the
Met Gala theme, like
2013's "Punk: From Chaos to Couture" displays,
2011's "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" displays, and to a lesser extent
2014's "Charles James: Beyond Fashion" displays. Saks did some fun windows for the punk theme too that year.
On a different note, I also put up a few photos from an unusual, interesting tour I took in 2016 at Fresh Pond Crematory and U.S. Columbarium.
Reading Dead Queens reminded me of it.
They're all up at
my Flickr.
