We finally got someone for the third roommate slot at the beginning of March after two months of looking. She's in her 60s and has a much different energy from the women in their 20s and 30s we've previously had.
She spends much more time in the living room at night than any of them did, which is hard to get used to me for me since my room shares a wall with the living room. Our last one, 'Lana, was barely around, and then it was just me and Judy for two months so.... Patty spends most of her living room time watching classic '80s sitcoms so it could be worse. I don't know how well Judy is dealing with this because she hasn't said anything about it.

I've picked up some under-the-table work from my brother, getting some cash a week to edit his winetasting notes before he submits them. His company doesn't provide him with or give him money for an editor, and his usual friend who does it has some huge life changes coming up that means he can't do it. It's about six to seven pages every weekday and my first experience using the "commenting" feature in Google Docs to show my edits. This is the kind of material I'm working on:
Colterenzio 2020 Sauvignon Lafóa - The 2020 Sauvignon Lafóa is pungent, with grapefruit rinds, savory wild herbs, yellow flowers and that note we writers often describe as cat pee, forming its bouquet. This is rich and opulent at first, lifted by bright acidity, which also adds an airy feel, as citrus-tinged apple and sour melon come forward toward the close. The 2020 Lafóa finishes dry and a bit chewy, leaving tropical florals and hints of kiwi to linger. I like the tension here, and how it plays with the palate, yet its bouquet will not be appreciated by most readers. (88 points)
Ansitz Waldgries 2020 Mitterberg Rosenmuskateller - The 2020 Mitterberg Rosenmuskateller is remarkably fresh with minty herbs and camphor giving way to dried orange peels and exotic melon. It’s pleasantly sweet yet fresh, showing maraschino cherries contrasted by blood orange, cloves and inner rose tones. It cleans up beautifully on the palate and leaves a remarkably refreshed sensation as hints of licorice and cinnamon sugar slowly fade. This is a total wow wine. The 2020 has 160 grams per liter of residual sugar yet doesn’t become tiring at all. This hails from 30% late harvest fruit and 70% passito style grapes that dried for three months. (95 points)
My brother and I are both annoyed that his employer refuses the Oxford comma.
