Flames, flames on the sides and back of my head

I am angry with my current neurologist office. I had an appointment for Friday for Botox injections on my head, neck, and shoulders to gentle the muscle tightness and spasms I get, but then today I get a voice message that they don't have the Botox in their office and must cancel. Hopefully things will get better soon! The office welcomes e-mails about patient issues, so this is what I sent. What I sent after I had my roommate read it and give me suggestions so I don't come off as a "difficult," "problem," whiny patient, which can affect the treatment you can get from doctors. My original version was angrier because I am in pain.

Subject: My Botox injections that used to be scheduled for Friday, November 12

Hi. I received the voice message from M____\ about my Botox not being at your office and my (much-needed) appointment on Friday being canceled because of it, and I'm confused. When I called Main Source Pharmacy today about my Botox, I was told it was delivered to your office the same day that I paid my co-pay for it, September 21. A pharmacist at Main Source, L__, told me that N___ Y___ signed for it at your office on that date. L__ also said she'd be happy to do a conference call with me and your office about this missing Botox situation.

Main Source Pharmacy had called me November 1 to ask me to pay a co-pay for a second batch of Botox but agreed with me that it was reasonable for me not to pay for a second batch when I hadn't even been given my first yet.

Paying for a medication a month and a half in advance and then being told you don't have it is hard. Being expected to pay for a second batch of it over three months in advance of an opportunity to be given it [ed note: because there has to be three months between injections] when I haven't even gotten the first is a problem.

My muscles have really been terrible and painful the last few days so I was looking forward to getting my injections Friday. This is very important to me. Please, resolve this quickly and advise me.

Thank you,

M____ M__ G____

My first, intake, appointment here was in April, when I was told I could get injections within a few weeks, but they couldn't actually get them for me until August, so this isn't the first time I've had a problem with them on this. My last neurology office never had anything like this happen, but they stopped taking my secondary insurance at the beginning of this year. If this keeps up, I may be shopping for a new neurologist again. You can comment here or at the Dreamwidth crosspost.
