I don't follow the property enough to be really upset, but as a bisexual and casual follower of My Hero Academia the possibility that perverted creep Mineta--that most of the fandom hates because he's a perverted creep--may have come out as bisexual in a recent chapter of the manga annoys me. (Some people are saying that translated correctly it's a platonic love but there's dissension about it.)

The creator might be trolling readers but this is not the representation we need, want, or deserve. If the creator follows through with this, Mineta will be the only major canonical LGBTQ+ character in MHA. (Tiger of Wild, Wild Pussycats is trans but as far as I know that team doesn't appear much.)

I went to my local National Night Out Against Crime for some free food and swag from local participating businesses and organizations. I only picked up things that interested me or were handed to me along with something else.

The oxblood-colored tote is from Dry Harbor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, which isn't as morbid as my small free Fresh Pond Crematory/U.S. Columbarium Inc. tote I got years ago. I don't understand the purpose of the cord-pull option on the orange bag (the other corner is just folded under the bag).

I got the honey straw from the Queens Beekeepers Guild, though I didn't ask if the honey in it was local honey because I'm an introvert who doesn't want to get trapped into a long conversation with an enthusiastic volunteer. NYC Honey Fest sounds like fun but it's in the Rockaways, which is quite a trek. (But they misspelled "Boardwalk" a few times on the handout.) The religious handout from a local Baptist church was given to me with a cup of lemonade I wanted, with "We Are All Sinners" flashing at me as I thirstily reached for the drink. I guess being a sinner is bittersweet.

The local police precinct lets kids get into some of their vehicles and check them out. I want to drive one of these little buggies. The insignia badge on the front and back suggest that it's made by John Deere, unlike the police cars, which are Ford.

I'm using it in a WIP, so I decided to actually stop and hang out a bit instead of just driving past it on my way somewhere else. My Googling has not found an explanation for why this was named Quick Brown Fox Triangle and has a fox statue, though Forgotten New York says Henry Stern named quite a few small greenspaces during his tenure as commissioner of the New York Parks department.
