I'm Trying Not to Stare
The first time I heard this song--"If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know)" by the 1975--on the local alternative radio station it turned my head around for how 1980s it sounds. So many '80s ingredients... then at a point further in came the last perfect '80s ingredient to put it over the top.

With the humid heat we've had for days here, sometimes the only way to get some steps in is to do it at night when it's a little cooler. One night I was out walking locally (and melting) at 3:30 a.m. when it was 84 °F/29 °C and recorded a bit of the sound off the local highway--the Long Island Expressway (LIE), a.k.a. Interstate 495--when you're a block away on the south side of it. (I'm two blocks away from it on the north side at the top of a tall hill so it's not as loud at my home.)
