Memories Trapped in Time

I've had Sarah McLachlan's "Possession" as an earworm for days, the piano as much as the voice and lyrics, and it always takes me back to my halcyon, early due South days, the last fandom I felt like I was truly in as opposed to adjacent to, a time of peak e-mail list goodness when the conversations, fic, and meta from the serge list exploded my Inbox daily in the best ways. A time when many northern East Coast fans got together often in RL because of course we did, and the one of them remaining my friend nearly 19 years later saw Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool 2 with me a few weeks ago.
