I hope that Tony's "So was I" in the trailer was meant to be an eyeroll moment, because even if you posit that MCU Steve and Tony have more going on than the occasional semi-antagonistic work friend relationship that the movies actually show, could Tony really think Steve wouldn't go for the childhood boyfriend friend who fought in the war with him, whose death ripped Steve apart, who managed not only to survive his fall but is also amazingly still alive right now, who is one of the few contemporaries Steve can have, who has been abused for decades, and who needs Steve's help? The friendship there's a Smithsonian exhibit about?
