The heat and humidity have been destroying me lately with pain, dizziness, and weakness but I managed to get out to Flushing Meadows Corona Park for a while when things cooled down a bit at 7:30 p.m. They're finally repainting the New York State Pavilion; bridge and steel painters are donating their time and labor to prime and paint to clean up the look of the place and help protect the metal from rust. What's done so far is the "crown" of the large round, and it's done in a yellow influenced by the original 1964 colors.
I also spent some time at Meadow Lake, where a small Latin band was on the grass nearby providing music for a barbecue, probably not as an official thing. A lot of people bring their grills to the park for family barbecues. This time I saw a few drones getting flown around. There's still a small group of feral cats--I saw five tonight, though there may be more--living near the boat house years later; someone puts out a dish of cat food and water for them. Twilight over the lake was amazing, from the sky and how it turned the water a shade of blue I can't describe. You can see the new tennis center's roof lit up as night falls. Life is stressful and physically painful... as well as far too expensive, thus the stress... for me but some of it is really beautiful.

I'm still getting writing done when I can, "Glass Houses" and a Schuldig/Yoji fic, the last of which I'd be getting more done on if I could canon review but my laptop isn't reading those CD-Rs and my VHS tapes are somewhat fragile with the picture and sound occasionally rolling.
