Same Old

The new endocrinologist checked out a lot of things my last one didn't, but he doesn't think my general hair loss and recent massive hair loss are thyroid related, which is frustrating because I still have no answers or a cure. He gave me a prescription to get bloodwork done checking some of my hormones and thyroid and for hypothyroidism. He thinks the hair loss may be dermatological even though I said my dermatologist already nixed it. He said he doesn't know what's going on with me but thinks the hair loss isn't a sign of something harmful, which reassured my dad when I reported it to him until I pointed out that it doesn't mean I don't have something really wrong, just that he doesn't know I do. Symptoms of my Chiari started coming up for years while doctors told me there was nothing really wrong with me and I was just stressed out, but my brain was gradually sliding lower and lower behind my spine and getting ever more compressed over those years. No news is not necessarily good news.

At least going from 100mcg to 125mcg of Synthroid two weeks ago helped me drop six of the twelve pounds I've gained this summer from my doctors dropping my dosage.

Also, today was a very bad day for me bodywise due to the heat, mostly from pain and listlessness. Right now I have a severe sharp pain pounding through my whole head and beating through my body in time with my heartbeat and a pins-and-needles sensation on the surface of my head, and I'm very dizzy/lightheaded and nauseous. Meds and being in air conditioning aren't helping.

meds, thyroid/hormone problems maybe, chiari i malformation
