Because My Muses Are Evil
One of the WIPs I'm working on is in a fandom my faithful beta reader doesn't follow based on a manga, Trinity Blood, that hasn't had an official English print update since about four years ago (TokyoPop collateral damage) so I'm really working in a vacuum. When my usual beta reader heard a bit about the plot and character interaction she said it sounded interesting but that she isn't qualified to read since she only saw a few episodes of the anime a long time ago. It doesn't help that the WIP is very manga-only continuity and involves an unreliable narrator where I want my readers to get what's really going on.
