Today my new physical therapist taped up the ankle I injured taking a fall after last week's physical therapy appointment. While in the area
I took in Ralph Lauren Rugby's windows and unexpectedly saw a hawk at Union Square. When I saw a crowd gathered looking upward and with their camera phones up, I decided to check it out, and there it was in a high branch. My old zoom wouldn't have captured it. New York City has had some red-tailed hawk residents who became famous, but I've never seen them here.
This is on top of me seeing a raccoon running across Eliot Avenue in my Queens neighborhood and coyote sightings in Harlem, East Jamaica (Queens), Central Park, and near Columbia University. The wild is invading us back.
