I'm doing beta testing at
Archive of Our Own, posting stories and seeing what issues might come up.
Since I'll be the only person posting Two Guys... fic and thus establishing the section, should I call it "Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place" or "Two Guys and a Girl"? I wrote more fic for it when it was TGaGaaPP and "Two Guys and a Girl" so sounds like M/F/M threesome fic, but look at my tags on this entry and my site link.
Another is that I have an issue with the archive font and have been asked to try it when my computer is set on ClearType, but I'm nervous about making a change like that since even with
this as reference I really don't know what the hell I'm doing. And I'm supposed to be able to customize it? Suggestions? Comments?
I've only got about 75 stories out of my 400 up, and I've been doing a cross-reference of my repertoire as a starter.
It's interesting and sometimes scary posting the really old stuff, because I've improved and changed a lot of my style and because I don't even remember writing a lot of this stuff. Also, my X-Files stuff tended toward the dark in general, and I'm saying this as someone who currently writes the most in a fandom where all the main characters are assassins, so deciding on warnings can be... interesting. I'm also finding occasional typos. Yes, ten years later. Good news is that I discovered that
Down in the Basement lists a lot of my posting dates for old XF fic I hadn't bothered to date in my own archives.
My notes are mentioning old friends and betas, some of whom aren't in fandom or contact anymore, and my Pike and Benny joints are such a slice of my teens and early 20s because I based them off people and things I knew back then.
