I feel so weird introducing someone as my husband. I mean I really get a kick out of it and I'm proud as hell that Prem is my husband. It's still gonna take some getting used to.
Marriage license was stamped and filed today with the country clerk. I'm happy about it and still incredibly sad and pissed at the asshole heterosexism of Texas. Would love to take a flame thrower to something but like that would actually help.
I feel really good that we did the white ribbons at the wedding. I can't believe Oklahoma threw out their same sex marriage ban before Texas. I mean c'mon. It's Okla-fucking-homa, people. *sigh*
Anyway. I have a husband. And it is my dearest hope that the privilege of obtaining a marriage license be afforded to everyone and anyone who wants one in the United States.
