I dislike destruction as much as anyone else, but I can't share the same malice that popular opinion seems to have towards fighting. The physical thrill of it all aside (I'll admit I partake in this-- would that make me biased?), a fair battle has always seemed more honest to me than politics.

The Deities were surprisingly generous to give supplies to the participants and full sanctuary to everyone else. I'm almost impressed.
