From looking around these networks, it looks like people come and go from all periods of life, and the retention of memories is mostly arbitrary.

With conditions like that, I'm not sure.

I wouldn't say that, necessarily. I think it's been written down somewhere once you've done something, and it can't be undone. I want to believe it's impossible to truly forget.

But if I'm wrong, I wouldn't be sure what to say.
