This is where we first read,
Communicating only with our heads.
Then when your cell phone rang,
You left with a quick wave of your hand.
And I took a picture,
So I would never forget.
Then I went after you,
To see if there was something I could do.
But when I walked upstairs,
I found you caressing his hair.
And I walked away quietly,
Before you had a chance to look at me.
This is where I first sat,
Realizing you didn’t love me back.
That’s when a painful sigh,
Released a muffled cry.
And I took a picture,
So I would never forget.
