When gas was $0.95 a gallon & Caller ID was a new thing. --> wow, that cheap, don't quite remember it that low. i remember 1.16ish, and caller id was definately something we'd never heard of.
When we recorded stuff on VCRs & paid $3.50 for a movie. --> yup, recording stuff and getting yelled at because i recorded over something my mom really liked, like sally jessie rafael episodes. didn't go to the theatres often enough, and even then i didn't know how much it was, i wasn't paying for it!
When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off our walkmans. -->heck yeah dude.
When 2Pac and Biggie where alive. --> it's funny, i actually only knew of them when the reports came out that they died.
When the Chicago Bulls were the best team ever. --> never paid attention to sports unless i was playing them.

The annoying Furbies. --> my brother had one, never really cared for them. the one he had did look like gizmo from that gremlins movie. 80's reference.
Running through the sprinklers. --> my family moved to a place with sprinklers in the yard, and i totally remember how fun that was
That "Little Mermaid". --> my favorite disney movie when i was a kid. seriously loved it.
Crying when Mufasa died in the Lion King. Every time you watched it. --> yeah, the first time i watched it, i sobbed like a little bitch! now, not so much. but that doesn't mean i don't still cry at kids movies. if you've seen UP, you'd completely understand. seriously.
Happy Meals where you chose a Barbie or a Hot Wheels car. -->yup, those barbies were so lame too. i still liked getting them though.
Getting the privilege to sit in the front seat of the car. --> it's funny, i never really thought of that as a priveledge. i was an only child for a long time, so, yeah.
Drinking Sqeeze It "Squeeze The Fun Out Of It". --> god, no wonder kids are crazy. it was liquid sugar with caffiene flavored food coloring, i swear!

Watching Saturday Morning Cartoons in your PJ's still wrapped up in your TMNT, Power Rangers, Barbie, Fairy Princess comforter. --> on those cold mornings, absolutely! not necessarily a brand name conforter since we were poor, but wrapped in a big ol' blankie.

Who could forget Snick? & Nick @ Nite with Bewitched, I Dream of Jenie, The Facts of Life & I Love Lucy. --> definately, loved those shows. the freaking technicolor was like the coolest thing ever to me because i remember seeing the shows in both black and white and color. loved them either way though. still do!
Where everyone wanted to be in love after watching The Wonder Years. --> that kid was so cute. i remember him from the princess bride! so damn adorable, not handsome, just next door neighbor-y, you know?

Being old referred to anyone over 20. --> i went on a field trip to a college when i was in 3rd grade. i loved it. i think i got annoying because i couldn't stop saying "i'm so coming here when I grow up!"
A chance to skate as a couple at the local roller rink was like winning the lottery. --> never did that.
Scrapes & bruises were kissed & made better. --> not with me, but i remember see that on tv. those tv families were always so nice.
It was a big deal to finally be tall enough to ride the 'big people' rides at the fair. --> i guess.

Before we realized all this would eventually disappear. --> indeed. but we'll always have the memories, and little tributes like that that take you on a 3 hour blast to the past. yeah, that's how long it took me to finish.
