Somebody needs to reboot The Dresden Files for television, and I have the cast list ready to go.
Any of my friends read this series? It is awesome, and it needs to be on television (it was once before, and the attempt was, in my humble opinion, not good.) A wizard private investigator, his bff the badass female police lieutenant in charge of the "Special Investiagtions" department, his other bff the Knight of the Cross who is an actual knight with an actual sword that may or may not be Excalibur, his funny-as-hell but kind of freeloading sex-vampire half brother, his dauntless reporter girlfriend, his morally ambiguous and kinda scary faerie godmother, and assorted werewolves, vampires, fallen angels, fairies, necromancers, wizards light and dark, and the occasional giant scorpion, tree monster, and reanimated dinosaur. This is good shit, people, and it needs to be on TV.
Anyhoo, as a fandom-obsessed little hobby in spare moments here and there, I have created my dream cast for this show. Like, not just regulars. Everybody in the freaking books. (Okay, no, not everybody, but...lots.) And since my head-canon Harry Dresden is Timothy Olyphant, and Justified is now in its last season, I think somebody needs to do this. (They won't. But they should. So instead, I'll rant about it here.)
And here, sweet friends, you will find the extent of my madness. (But seriously, I've done like half their work for 'em. Just make some phone calls and make it happen.) God, I hope somebody on my friends list reads these books, or I'm gonna feel like a yammering weirdo. : /
