It *is* cruel. Thank you. I don't get why people can't understand Juliette's anger at Nick in this episode. Is her blow-up about Adalind's arrest a little misplaced? Yeah -- a *little* -- but Nick *did* use her to that end, and after everything else, if I were her, I'd be breathing fire, too!
I loved her line to him, when he defended himself by saying he was worried about her: "Why don't you stop?" That's it. That is exactly the point: his worry may come from love, but it's worthless. She doesn't need him to protect her -- he *can't* protect her! He needs to do what he should have done a long time ago and give her the power she needs to protect herself. This is twice now Adalind's gotten at Juliette when she was vulnerable to her *because* she had no way of knowing Adalind was a threat.
I don't know if Monroe was supposed to come across as so flustered by the situation that he made a dog's dinner out of it, maybe...? It just didn't work. It was stupid, and not even in a "Monre, wtf?" way -- because MONROE WOULD NOT DO THAT. Monroe's not an asshole or an idiot. It was stupid in a "writers, wtf?" way.
Sorry. This one struck a nerve. I love my Juliette and I don't like seeing her mistreated. And Idon't like seeing a show blur the lines on an issue and a storyline that's been bringing out the stupid and the mean in people even before now.
