Ozzfest 1005
weeeeeeeeee! Another summer, another Ozzfest! This one was particularly good, even despite the lack of moshing and such. Most of the people seemed to have paid to stand there and "listen". Fuck that, if I want to listen to a band, I'll go pop in a CD, I pay $40 to go rock the fuck out! As a direct result of said rocking the fuck out, I am sunburned and sore as hell. Owie!

10. Black Dhalia Murder - really fuckin heavy
9. Arch Enemy - that chick can fuckin scream
8. Shadows Fall - good band, but didn't play a lot of old stuff
7. A Dozen Furies - amazing for a band no one knew this time last year
6. Mastadon - really heavy metal
5. In Flames - sounded better live than recorded, which is impressive
4. Trivium - holy shit these guys are good
3. As I Lay Dying - incredible live band
2. Mudvayne - nothing beats the hometown shows
1. Killswitch Engage - best band ever, period
We also saw Black Label Society, The Haunted, Wicked Wisdom, Rob Zombie, Bury Your Dead, It Dies Today and Soilwork. We left before Iron Maiden and Sabbath, though, since we were tired as hell, and had seen Sabbath tons of times before, and Maiden didn't really interest me. All in all, money well spent, and a great way to spend a weekend!
