Don't expect a lot of coherency because I'm going to make sense of a DC cartoon.
Yeah. What was I thinking. Anyway, this post is mostly for reference so I don't have to recap his powers every time.
Since I apped at the end of the season, Virgil is a lot smarter with his powers and pretty damn versatile. Let's have a rundown list of stuff he can do.
Wiki link. - Drain electricity from other power sources (wires, lights, fuseboxes)
- Lift large/small objects (non metallic ones even!) with his powers.
- Magnetic induction (ie - like building a bridge by magnetizing the rails)
- Static Cling (lets people/objects cling to the wall or ceiling)
- Bioelectric field that prevents people from reading his mind
- Electromagnetic field - This can be affected by sunspots. Wiki says it's because like the sun and earth, Static has his own field.
- He can tune into radiowaves, tap into cell phones and PLAY A CD WITHOUT A WALKMAN.
- He can control the current and voltage of electricity he uses.
- Turning things on/off, using his powers to light up an area, direct energy like a laser.
- Electromagnetic Light Displays that Static can shoot into the sky in the forms of pictures and words. With more power behind it, Static can make these into Electromagnetic Nets &/or Cages.
- Taser cutter/punches/shots
- Ball Lightning - Electromagnetic Energy compressed into a large ball & thrown at targets; an offensive manoeuvre in a combat situation.
- Nova Ball - a focused light attack
- Nova Burst - same principle, more lightning power and pretty powerful.
- Electromagnetic telepathy/technopathy - Static can make his own radio waves and pretty much control any hardware device there is. Not that he uses this power much when Gear comes in.
So, not only does Static cover the raw power base (Batman/Terry states that Static had the power to change the world. I have no idea in what WAY but he was pretty powerful in that epi), he's got the ability to back it up too. Pretty much 99.9% of these are never really going to show up in camp, but it gives a clear idea what he's capable of.
That said, what are his weaknesses?
That's it. Two weaknesses. It's pretty easy to short him out, but this lasts for a pretty short amount of time and then his body reasserts itself and he gets his powers back. Electricity doesn't affect wood specifically, though if you're throwing trees at him, he can flip those back at you.
