i have a mildly unhealthy obsession with taylor swift. hahaha. oh man.
so today, he and i took our first photo booth photographs together which should ensue several awws and sighs in our directions, but know they were for identification purposes. i took the first two, ducked out quickly from behind the blue curtain so he could jump onto the stool and take his two and save ourselves another hefty five dollars to take them. so there isn't actual photographic evidence of our being together there. sadness and despair, if i were a sixteen-year-old. photo booths were never my thing. no, i wanted to wear costumes and do the photos in sepia-tone to evoke a period effect -i would wear a muff and a hat don't you know. the booths are digital now! i was surprised, as was he. it was a lengthy process picking out the format and whatever other options were sent my way by the photo booth gods. he lamented the fact that the generous timing in between photos meant that it would miss out on classic, classic laughing photos, captured at the height of hilarity. take that how you will. i will say, i agreed with him a little that the lack of spontaneity was another bit of our adolescence discarded in the graveyard of pre-digital technological sophistication. well, relative pre-digital technological sophistication. you get what i mean. i hope. we'll do it right, at the drake with black-and-white don't you know.
sigh, school has me worried again and if i let it, pangs of anxiety will plague my soul so hush on, and let's fuhgeddaboutit. also, you should know my eczema has flared up again. sigh, so long-sleeved shirts for me for awhile because this time i am a little self-conscious about it. i love vegetables -sorry. this morning after mass, i had a toasted cream cheese bagel with bean sprouts, tomatoes, lettuce, red onion and peppers, and today for dinner i had, well i had a spot of sushi with mick on our three-hour date to get him home in time for homework and an early night for work, but when i got home i made a vegetable galette layered with zucchinis, capsicums, radishes, tomatoes, spanish onions, and a generous sprinkling of salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, and fresh rosemary which was originally meant for my potatoes but live and let do. sigh, fingers crossed for france and i really want to go to nicaragua again.
tomorrow i need a police check, to prove i have not done anything inappropriate around or to children, and that i have no committed a felony. i did steal stickers in the first grade. it took me nearly nine years to own up to that in confession and all i could think about was that withholding this sin was just another sin totally negating the point of my confession. know that that was devastating for my grade school self.
