Or, another reason to love AP English: we are currently reading Molière's The Miser, and I didn't even finish the first act before I started lolling at my desk:
LA FLÈCHE. I'm talking...I'm talking to my hat.
HARPAGON. And I might just be talking to your thick head.
LA FLÈCHE. Will you stop me from cursing misers?
HARPAGON. No, but I'll stop you from chattering and being insolent. Shut up.
LA FLÈCHE. I'm not mentioning any names.
HARPAGON. I'll thrash you if you speak.
LA FLÈCHE. If the cap fits, wear it.
HARPAGON. Will you shut up?
LA FLÈCHE. Yes - against my will.
