Am off to watch Bush's State of the Union address. I wonder what kind of bullshit he's going to talk about this year.

This is so totally not worth my time, but it is my obligation as an American citizen to sit through this yearly flagellation.

It seems like the best solution would be to merge the two... Ironically, that might actually make the head of state more responsible to the people. :-S

The long and the short of it that I heard was that it was pretty drivelly. But not unexpected.

Gah, it was full of drivel. There were some definitely amusing moments, though. The first was when Bush said something like, "Congress did not pass my reforms to save social security," and the Democrats started clapping and cheering. And the second was when Bush called for Congress to give him the power of the line-item veto. *dies of the irony*
