Music: Glee - Ballads x5
I'm kinda underwhelmed with the 5 new Glee songs for this week's episode, Ballads. Morrison's Don't Stand So Close to Me/Young Girl is decent but there's something missing even with the good vocals; I enjoyed the preview scene clip on Hulu more. I'm a little unimpresed by the Endless Love duet. Crush is pretty catchy/entertaining though; but I'm also a huge fan of Rachel(Lea)'s voice and it suits this perfectly. You're Having My Baby is okay after the first listen. I really like I'll Stand By You though.
Overall, good additions but not on par with some of the earlier Glee covers. I think these songs really need the visuals more than the rest so my opinion may rise after the show airs. So far, Crush & I'll Stand... will be the ones to enter my Glee rotation the most frequently. May take a few more listens for the rest to bump up in rating.
