Christmas Eve
Today was an entertaining day. It was Christmas Eve, and unlike some other families, my family meets every year on this day; we just relax at home on Christmas day. The first stop was my mom’s side of the family; she has the huge family with 6 brothers and 1 sister. We got their pretty early, ate some great posole, and everything was calm until the rest of the family came.
The first to come was my one of my uncles and his family, which was really not surprising ‘cause they always come really early. It was great to see him because he is in the Marines and he just came back last week from his 2nd time at Iraq. He brought my Grandma this really gorgeous rug of the Virgin Mary that you definitely cannot find in the USA! Its so gorgeous that I would want one! I should have taken a picture of it. :(
Then slowly the rest of the family came, and ate, blah, blah. The really entertaining part was that this is the first year that the adults got really drunk! It started with the uncles and aunts taking shots until the alcohol was gone. Then they had to run for more. Of course, the dining room table had to be moved for dancing. The alcohol had everyone dancing for hours! (Which is surprising for them cause everyone usually leaves WAY earlier.) This was the first year with dancing, and everyone was really having a good time.
Then my dad’s side of the family was the calm I needed after all of that noise. (That side of the family is really small.) I love them, but it was not as entertaining!
My parents gave me Supernatural Season 3! I’m so happy, and so ready to re-watch them all!!! Its going to help me deal with having no Supernatural until January 15!!!! :(
I tried to fall asleep for 3 hours, but then gave up. I’ve been sick for the past few days, but today at night it came really bad. My nose is really stuffy and I cannot breath from it. And my throat just started to hurt really bad today. Plus, its cold. That combination made me not able to fall asleep. :( I’m just not going to sleep today. I just hope that my headache doesn’t come back like it has for the past few days…
