Whitaker(sp?) called me down today, fourth period. I've 'excessive tardiness' and will be punished with three hours of detention! Fourteen tardies in first period apparently. He made me call my mom from his office phone while he watched me. I think my mom was semi-pretending to act upset while, like me, trying to hold in a laugh or two (or at least a question like, "Ok, so, this couldn't wait?"), 'cause it just seemed like a little much. So there were just a lot of 'right', 'ok', 'uh-huh's on my part and then my mom started talking about other fairly-unrelated things and I couldn't say "Ok, irrelevant," because I didn't want to come off as disrespectful/rebellious kid to Whitaker because I'm not disrespectful/rebellious kid- I simply sleep too late sometimes and thus end up missing the first minute of an already useless class.

I'm not sorry. And I'm looking forward to the reading time detention will force me into. Take that high school justice system!
