Title: Everywhere
Author:
virdantLength: 279 words; super-short
Rating: G
Genre: General / Humor (?) / Crack (?)
Pairing: None, unless you count mutual suffering OT5
Summary: Their manager looked slightly to the left. "It's important that all of you understand how this works. It pertains to your job and well help you all to make the proper decisions..."
Warning: Stupidity.
Notes: I am supposed to be finishing my physics homework. However, when one of your physics questions is "A rock concert is being held in an open field. Two loudspeakers are separated by 8.00 m. As an aid in arranging the seating, a test is conducted in which both speakers vibrate in phase and produce an 90.0 Hz bass tone simultaneously. The speed of sound is 343 m/s. A reference line is marked out in front of the speakers, perpendicular to the midpoint of the line between the speakers. Relative to either side of this reference line, what is the smallest angle that locates the places where destructive interference occurs? People seated in these places would have trouble hearing the 90.0 Hz bass tone." and there are HB fancams and whatnot and the sound quality on the fancams keep varying... understandably, weird stuff spawns. Title comes from the heated discussion in class the other day where we argued that "physics is everywhere!"
Note the second: this has been plot beta'd.
Everywhere
"Why do we need to know this?" Yunho asked the manager again.
Their manager looked slightly to the left. "It's important that all of you understand how this works. It pertains to your job and will help you all to make the proper decisions..."
Junsu stared at the book with a mournful look.
Yoochun contemplated the positive effects of nicotine. They were outweighing the negative effects at the moment.
Jaejoong had a look of utmost horror, one that vaguely resembled Yunho's and Junsu's and Yoochun's, which revolved around the lines of: I thought I had escaped this after I graduated from (junior) high school.
Changmin was already on his third book. "Hyung-deul," he said thoughtfully, "did you know that that amplifiers need to be placed at certain locations to prevent destructive interference?"
"What?" Junsu asked, looking completely bewildered.
Changmin shoved the book towards Junsu, pulling another book towards him as he did so. "This is really interesting," he commented without a trace of irony or sarcasm whatsoever, "I've never realized how practical this could be."
Jaejoong let out a muffled groan. Yoochun pulled out a cigarette (and at the glare from the manager, put it away) and settled for sulking. Yunho stared at the heavy book in his hands and decided that if he had known that being a pop-star entailed this he would have never tried to be one. Junsu tried to decipher the strange symbols in the book that Changmin had just handed him.
"Physics is everywhere," Changmin muttered as he started on his fourth textbook.
The others sighed.
Junsu looked up from the small print, confusion coloring his features. "What's the triangle thing without a bottom?"
End.
I'm heading back to physics.
