So I've been gone a goodly while. A little lurking now and then, peeking in from time to time, and other split infinitives and incomplete sentences as well.

These days it's just work, sleep, and enough schoolwork so that I can call myself a student, even if it's usually followed by a sarcastic laugh.

Work is good, especially this last week. I hope the fearless Miss F. is having fun in Ireland, and I hope it doesn't make me traitorous to say that I prefer her job to my own. Having a schedule that swings back and forth from second to third with days off sprinkled almost randomly is exhausting, not to mention what it does to my mental processes. This has been the first day off that actually feels like a day off, instead of just resting up for the next shift. Even better, I've got another night off tonight, and don't work again until 11pm Thursday. It's almost like a weekend. I may even have the mental capacity to put one of my pups into Milliways like I've been wanting to.

School's more interesting these days, with a non-computer class at last. Here's an academic question: At what point does F. Scott Fitzgerald cease to represent 'contemporary' literature? Don't mind me. Fitzgerald's sentence structure issues just get on my nerves.

I'm cleaning house with the subtlety of a chainsaw lately, and it's coming out quite nice. Poor Trinity is suffering from a nasty case of fleas, and in an effort to rid her and the house of any chance of the little bastards surviving, I'm cleaning and planning a B-A-T-H for her. She's on my lap and I don't want to spook her.

I'll likely have to enlist rev_ringtail and d4n4r3y for that, though. One to help me wash the cat, and one to hold the camera. Or call the ambulance.

work, my cat, life
