All right, here's what's up. My mom's been to her doctor, and he says that the lung still looks clean, a year plus a few days since the lobe-ectomy. No new cancer=yay! This also makes it look good for her next surgery. If they can get her deviated septum straightened out, so her sinuses will drain properly so she can breathe, then she can get her arteries plumbed out so she can walk around again and maybe get healthy f'real. Or at least deal with the fibromyalgia, which doesn't help. But one thing at a time, neh?
My brother will (hopefully) not be going back to Iraq, which I think will be good for everyone, cause he'd just love to start some shit. Of course, that may not be true anymore, since his new wife is pregnant! New niece/nephew for me. Still, it's kind of frightening to think of my brother being an actual parent, instead of the absentee he was with his firstborn. Granted, Ex-Wife is frightening, and Bro's military, and the boy has a stable place to be, but still. Confusing.
Dunno how Sis and Co. are. They're prolly fine. I hope My Boy's doing good at the beginning of seventh grade; that's always a tough adjustment to make. Lil Girl is bulletproof, so she's probably fine, too.
As for me, I'm already dreading my weekly phone conversations with Camp Counselor Girl from Devry. I know how the drill goes, and I wish I could skip it, or go down to once a month. I've got to ask about that. I've only had one real phone meeting with this chick, and I'm over it. She's nice, she knows her stuff, but I'm not the kind of person who takes kindly to forced pep rallies. Give it two more weeks, and I'll start being mean to her, and she doesn't deserve that. Also, why wouldn't they have people in all the time zones? I gotta wait till 11 just so she can call me from effing california, when the best time would really be when my day starts, when I'm all alone in my office, cause my boss never gets here before 9.
School itself is going fine, quite easy in fact, but it's true that the classes I'm currently taking are not strenuous. The team project thing for last week was a trip, but I'll save that for another day.
I'm hungry. I'll probably eat both my regular lunch plus my emergency lunch today, cause I forgot to eat last night. Gotta stop doing that, it's messing with my brain, not to mention what it does to my metabolism. Here's my new mantra:
"Cigarettes and Soda do not make a substitute for actual food."
Off I go. Probably for a cigarette and a soda. :P
