Right. The Think with Allie

Nov 01, 2006 02:54

I think it's about time that I explane my standings on Allie. As of late she has been the source of much anger and frustration. She complains about not being invited anywhere it when I call her to invite her out to supper with some of our mutual friends she always finds an excuse. It could be playing guildwars or something like that. It doesn't matter. Guildwars you can play at 3 am or whatever. It doens't mean that you need to forsake your friends for the bloody game. It gets better, when ever I try and engage her in conversation the replies are short, usually a couple of words and mostly hostile in nature. I try and act like Liam or Laura, because they make her comfortable and she snaps at me.

She doesn't explane any of this to me or even make an attempt to talk to me. So, I've followed her unspoken wish and I've just stopped calling her to do things, in fact a good number of the group has. It's just not worth it to spend an hour trying to convince her to come out and hang out then be really upset or sad over the fact that she's out with friends. If she even considers anyone except for Laura and Liam friends anymore.

I've grown tired of constnatly trying to include her and only getting snapped at for it. So, I've taken to simply ignoring her as much as possible. Not the most noble thing to do, I know. But it does seem to be the best course of action
