Newsflash! ...Not Really
Caorann brought to my attention the fact that I haven't updated this journal in over 16 weeks...I hadn't realized so much time had gone by. Four months? Sheesh...well, anyway, I'm back after a long hiatus...and hopefully this time I'll update more frequently.
My mother just showed me a car her boss is selling for $2500, and she thinks she can get the price down to 2 grand even...if she can, it looks like I'll be setting up an appointment with the DMV pretty soon. I mean, hey...the idea of driving has appealed to me for a month or so now, and if my parents are going to pay for half of my first car, probably the cheapest I'll ever manage given the circumstances...I really have no excuse anymore.
Also, I took the longest walk of my life Thursday. Keep in mind that I have cerebral palsy, so I'm not the most active of people...anyway, I walked 2.75 miles home on Thursday, basically only to see if I could...and I can. It did, however, make me extremely tired for the rest of that day, and it took me about...three to four hours to do it. Still, I did it, so I'm proud of myself.
I'm beginning to worry about some of my stories I have up online...I haven't updated a couple of them in months, and I'm starting to fear that they're gone for good...I've only been actively working on "No Longer Alone," my Naruto "epic" (not my words, someone else's), and "Back from the Dead" is the only other one I'm absolutely certain I'll finish..."Shoot Me Now" and "Paradoxical Parenthood," two of my YGO stories, come in next as the possible projects after BftD is finished...but "Of Twisted Fate," another YGO one, and "Soldiers of Fate," a Diablo/Final Fantasy crossover, haven't been touched since August. I won't say they won't get done, like I have with "Flooded Heart of Stone," a pokemon story, (nobody ever cared about that one, anyway...not even me), but I can't say for certain I'll finish them, either, especially since Soldiers was meant to be a full-fledged novel, not a short story like Twisted.
Well, who knows? Maybe the spark will come back...no. Can't count on that. Never works when I just "wait for inspiration." Perhaps if I could get any ideas with where to go...but that hasn't happened recently.
Anyway, thought I'd update anybody reading this on my current situation...yeah, I'm boring. Not my fault. Well...okay, so it is, but that's beside the point. I have to clean now.
