For those of you sextastic enough to be using firefox, i *highly* recommend an add-on called Answers

if i see something that im not familiar with typically i need to find out, be it a word or a subject, and this is making my life soooo easy

essentially you just alt+click on a word (or command+click if you are a mac user i believe)  and a nice integrated window comes up giving you either definitions, or explinations, and links to differnet files

its pretty ridiculous how good and quick it is at finding stuff

james had "The Bridge of Khazad Dum - Howard Shore" as his current music, and i thought the bridge sounded familiar, so i alt click on just the word Khazad (no highlighting or anything needed, you just alt+click) and this is what i got in a nice in-window window:

Match: Bridge of Khazad-dûm and others.

Bridge of Khazad-dûm

In the fictional world of J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, the Bridge of Khazad-dûm is a narrow stone bridge crossing a chasm within the eastern gates of the dwarven city of Khazad-dûm (also known as Moria). It was intended for defensive purposes - enemies who breached the outer defences would be forced to cross a span of about fifty feet in single file. The depth of the chasm was incredible and the ceiling was high; on the outer side of the bridge was a flight of stairs leading to the exit, through the First Hall and the Great Gates of Moria.

The bridge is most noted for being the location of the encounter between Gandalf the Grey and the Balrog known as Durin's Bane. It was broken by Gandalf during the fight but would most likely have been repaired by the dwarves after the War of the Ring, since it was on the main approach to the city from the east.

Chapter 5 in Book II of The Lord of the Rings is entitled "The Bridge of Khazad-dûm", making this a familiar phrase for Tolkien fans.

In Chaper 5 of Book III of The Lord of the Rings Gandalf refers to the Bridge of Khazad-dûm as Durin's Bridge.

it's awesome

and if you are wondering what awesome means, its
  1. Inspiring awe: an awesome thunderstorm.
  2. Expressing awe: stood in awesome silence before the ancient ruins.
  3. Slang. Remarkable; outstanding: “a totally awesome arcade game” (Los Angeles Times).'
