I always make a daily visit to Spoofee.com (which you should too, imo) Anyway, today they posted a deal which I won't be taking advantage of due to physical location issues, BUT, they have a little USB tuner stick that lets you watch and record HDTV to your PC. It also comes with software to burn to CD. I don't know if you guys ever figured out that whole "turning an old server into a Tivo" thing, but this seems like a great solution! Thought I'd pass it along....the only downside seems to be, according to the 1 review so far, that the saved files are huge, but if you're archiving, that isn't such a bad thing.
