Oh yeah and I forgot to e-mail/post this asking...are you coming up for NYE? I'm pretty sure I gave Julie your e-mail address and someone else sent the invite. I was worried perhaps you deleted the invite as spam since it wasn't from a known person.

OH! I figured it was someone from TWN5, but couldn't for the life of me figure out who. Makes sense now...thanks for telling me sooner! ;-)

We probably won't make it. Visiting a gazillion different families in a week with 2 small children makes for very exhausted cranky parents who need a couple of days to relax at home. Though, if something changes, we'll call and let you know! If we go anywhere for NYE, that's definitely topping the list for me! (Want to meet CJ and all!)

Well I *think* they're getting the grand parents to babysit for them during NYE since just like you, they kinda wanna wind down and relax. Basically I figured you guys were visiting folks and if things worked out, you could do the same as Greg/Julie and party with us and let your hair down so to speak :).

I'm a little surprised you guys haven't got them to come visit you. I mean, you have the grandparent magnets like no one else at this sage in the game. :)

We tried that last year. (Dirk didn't like the idea in the first place since "logically" it's harder for several people to travel than for us. I obviously disagreed) My mom's side came up. That was it. My dad's side came up for 1 day (actually a few hours given the 6 hour each way drive) around New Year's. We had already done "Christmas" with Dirk's dad's side at Thanksgiving. But, it was clear that we weren't worth the drive to most family. This year we're going to try to visit them and see which works best. I'm wishing we switched years to try, because it's going to be WAY harder this year than it would've been last year! We'll see what we do next year......
