rock music
So my buddy and i decided to start a rock band. we're probably gonna do something like punk/ska/metal ish.
She plays bass, I play violin, and we're lookin for a drummer and possibly some other musicians.
I am very excited about this. We're probably gonna start with one or two cover songs then work on some original stuff.
the only problem is...
i have no idea where to start when it comes to writing.
I've been playing classical music my whole life, and have had some experience in fiddling, improv, and rock (mostly just playing along to some of my favorite songs)...
but i have noo idea where to start. i know that most rock songs are written in certain keys with certain chords and etc. etc...but i dont remember what they are
anyone have any advice?
