Title: Dreams
Genre: General/Family/Humour
Rating: G
Pairing: friendship!Heechul/Yehsung, ninja!Eeteuk/Yehsung
Summary: Yehsung wonders what happens to his dreams. Heechul elaborates.

A/N: This was written while I was bored, feeling the urge to write, and had access only to a Wii. Yes, this was written on a Wii. Therefore there might be errors abundant. Forgive me please?

A/N#2: Just in case it's hard to guess, this is set in Eeteuk and Heechul's dormitory. Last I heard, they live in a dorm separate and upstairs from the other members.

When Jongwoon was younger, he used to dream of skies that were always blue, cotton clouds that would always be white and a sun that would shine yellow forever. Skies the colour of his blue Crayola crayons, clouds that looked like (and hopefully tasted like) spun sugar. A sun that might warm him full to bursting if he swallowed it whole.

Years later, many years later, Yehsung sits and wonders where all of Jongwoon's dreams have gone, if they were replaced by Yehsung's dreams, and Super Junior's dreams. He wonders if that dream of a blue sky was replaced by a dream of a sapphire sea, the white clouds replaced by fans in t-shirts with "Super Junior" and "E.L.F." scored across front and back, if the glare of Yehsung's spotlights have taken the place of Jongwoon's shining sun.

Yehsung asks Heechul about it one night, since he knows Heechul won't mince words or sugarcoat them to make him feel not as bad. Heechul is blunt that way.

"You're being stupid." Is Heechul's reply as he's towel drying his shower wet hair, and Yehsung isn't the least surprised by his hyung's answer.

However, he does ask "Why?"

Heechul looks at him as if to ask "You're serious, aren't you?" and Yehsung's waiting expression answers that question.

"Obviously you won't have the same dreams you had when you were a little kid. Really, tell me the name of one person who still has the same dreams of stick doodle houses where they'll live forever with Umma and Appa."

Yehsung sees the truth of Heechul's explanation; he can't think of anyone.

So Jongwoon's simple dreams were gone then. Yehsung's expression became almost forlorn; after all, who would be happy in losing a dream, even a childish one like that?

"Yah, are you upset now? Sometimes you can be such a baby." Yehsung scowls at the tease, and Heechul doesn't seem to care, smirking like he hasn't got a care (because he probably doesn't, Yehsung thinks).

"Che, can't take a joke either. You really are a baby." he says, messing up the younger's hair.

"Don't give yourself a headache worrying. You still remember them, right?"

Yehsung supposes he still does, and he says so.

Heechul grins, before dumping Eeteuk's covers over Yehsung's head.

"Good. You better be asleep when Jungsoo gets back, or he'll make you go back downstairs." Heechul says as he looks for a shirt to put on. Yehsung frowns, and Heechul just wears his characteristic smirk as he hears the bolts of the apartment door slide and click open.

"Don't say I didn't warn you." Yehsung blows a raspberry at Heechul, who looks scandalized, before curling up in the sheets and pretending to be asleep.

"Che... baby." Heechul says while laughing under his breath, before leaving the room to tell Jungsoo that Yehsung was staying over for the night.

Underneath the band leader's sheets, Yehsung eventually fell asleep. He dreamed of skies that would always be as blue as his Crayola crayons, cotton clouds that would always be white and taste of spun sugar, and a yellow sun that would shine forever and fill him with warmth full to bursting if he swallowed it.

And the next morning, he woke up, washed up (Jungsoo-hyung would never know he borrowed his toothbrush), and went into the kitchen, grinning.

Still smiling, he apologised (while trying not to laugh, remembering the toothbrush) for making the leader sleep on the couch.

"Oh, shut up and eat already, Injoong." Heechul snaps, still groggy. Jungsoo laughs and hands Yehsung a plate of rice and eggs over easy.

"I've still got them." Yehsung chirps to no one in particular. Heechul is the only one other than himself, who knows he's talking about his silly child's dreams, and gives him a one-second oddball look before laughing.

Jungsoo looks confused, and Heechul just waves him off.

"It's nothing. Why don't you tell him later, Jongwoon?" he says still laughing.

"Alright." Yehsung smiles until his cheeks begin to hurt.

Yeah, he would tell Jungsoo later.

(The toothbrush? That could probably wait.)
