HOUSE
I think... I've found a house! It's a split level brick house about a block and a half from my parents house, oddly enough.
It has 2 fireplaces, one in the upstairs family room and one in the downstairs family room. 5 bedrooms, technically, though one is so big I'm going to turn it into a home theater. The upstairs has a nice open kitchen with a bar looking into the dining room. There's a small bathroom inside the master bedroom and a nice bathroom in themain hallway. There are three other bedrooms upstairs. One will be an office/library and the other two will be guest rooms. The upstairs floors are all beautiful pine hardwood. The downstairs has new cream carpeting, a small family room which i'm going to turn into a game room, I think. The largest bedroom is also downstairs, it's 19x15 so I'm going to make it into a theater. There is also a half bath and laundry room there and entry into the back yard through french doors and the 2 car garage.
The whole place is immaculate. It comes with a home warranty. The lawn is nice and level and the back has some wooded area. There is a tiny little patio right off of the back yard.
The only negative is that it is planted with this type of grass that was popular in the 70s. It's brown all year except the summer, then it turns green. I'm going to have to get that killed and have new grass seeded or sodded. Also, some of the trees out back are dead and just hanging out. My dad estimates it will cost me 2,000 to fix those two issues. And they aren't dire. I can take some time to do those things.
The only thing I'll need to purchase immediately are appliances. :-)
