We have a house!
Hi all. I bet you thought I up and died. Close - I was non-stop house hunting. Alonso had to start his new job and he was up in Chicago all week while I was down here trying to pack (which the cats are not making easy.) We were house hunting every weekend, so we never really got to see each other except when we were dead tired and Alonso put his foot down and said WE ARE FINDING A HOUSE NOW! and we did. Hee.
So we'll be living about 40 mins driving time from downtown Chicago, near Trader Joe's, near Whole Foods, near Ikea! And surrounding our neighborhood on all sides are these beautiful forest preserves with bike paths and hiking trails and lakes and deer. We have a great fireplace and the kitties have a big backyard and all sorts of wide windowsills to perch on when it gets snowy and cold outside.
*collapses* I'm just so glad we finally found a place to be (and be together.) We'll be all moved in on the 15th, so no more grueling 3 hour drives just to spend three hours together and do it all over again.
I'm going to take breaks this week while I'm packing so I can catch up on everyone's journals. I missed talking to you all.
Got to go - busy day tomorrow. *hugs you all*
