deep within your evolution....

So I just got home a little bit ago from NYC and Philly. I'm exhausted! I'm ready for September and days of work and relaxation and routine, routine, routine. I'll probably bitch about that later, but right now the thought of it is enticing.

Monday's show at XL was great, as usual. Casey covered "Silent All These Years" which was exciting, as well as throwing in "Love Thy Will Be Done" which I thought worked out wonderfully. I got to see Candy and spent quite a bit of time with her, as well as seeing Fred who I absolutely adore. I would have to say that he is one of my most favorite guys. I'm sure he is a lot of people's favorites.

It ended up being a long night thanks to chattiness but it was fun. Consequently I overslept by 4 hours and didn't leave Manhattan until about 4- just in time to get stuck in almost 2 hours of traffic. Fun! I made it to Terri and Yogi's about 8 and got lost close to their house and was ready to get out of that car! We went to dinner and then stayed up for a little afterward. I think all the driving made me tired so I fell asleep early and then left this morning around 10.

Work had called a zillion times for me as usual. Heaven forbid I actually have a life, it seems. I'm never giving them my cell phone number because I'd probably be getting calls incessantly. However, everything is going to work out as far as work goes. I will be Mrs. A's primary 2nd shift caregiver which means I get 40 hours a week plus overtime if I desire. I'm a little nervous because she's been sick lately and I really don't feel like giving her CPR but I'll cross that road if and when I get to it. All I know is September is going to be a month of work and saving money.

Speaking of work...I have to get ready for it today.
