Dear Valve: puzzles need not always consist of statics/kinematics problems. Just FYI.

It's a pity, if it weren't for some very well-constructed sequences I'd be able to write Half-Life 2 off as simply an awful game, but the carrot of those sequences has me enduring its considerable sticks. No verdict yet as to whether this is worthwhile.
