It is truly a blessing to love one's job (#3)

I am very grateful for stumbling rather blindly into teaching middle school at a truly wonderful school where I had really exceptional mentors/principals. Although the last several years have been not as perfect as my first 12 or so years, I still mostly love it. Even when it makes me crazy--like today when we have a power outage for 3 hours, then class for one hour, interrupted by a malfunctioning fire alarm. Which we had to treat as a fire drill, even though it was still raining from the storm that blew the transformer that caused the power outage.

But there are a bunch of great teachers at my school who are great at solving problems, even when administrators can't. So I am a bit amazed every day that I found my true calling, something I love and do very well, even on days like today.
