Back to life

Nov 03, 2003 10:39

I am feeling more adjusted now. Spent a few days with my parents in the country and learned embrodery. It was nice and peaceful. Helped Fragranceoflife job hunt around Denver, it was fun. Friday (Halloween) me and Bill spent a wonderful night at home he decorated everything so nicely. We made fun Halloween drinks and played with dry ice while ( Read more... )

Should have called me about the dye, I can do it in 25 minutes or less and not get any on your undesirables... cuz I \m/*rawk* \m/

Thanks for helping me jobsearch. We'll see what happens, I guess. I took Dad's advice and went to the Mortuary to apply for a job as an artist today. They have an assistant tech position available, and I might get it. I am so excited! Whee! Go me! Otherwise, it's back to good ol' Ulta for my sorry ass.

Glad to know you're feeling better :)

Dude the hair dye I used was awesome! High Dimensions by Revlon. It has real gloves enclosed and dye gel so that it doesn't drip and it only takes 10 minutes to take. Good stuff.

Have you heard from the butterfly pavillion? I hope so. The mortuary is creepy. I wouldn't be able to do that. Ulta isn't that bad, it could be worse. You could work for the diaper service, or waste management... Hope things start looking up for you soon.

I could totally do a mortuary. I'm down with the dead people. In the past, I've only ever found shitty sales jobs, so I've never seriously investigated the death industry route. Plus, I hear it's populated with criminals and Goths. If it was just criminals I could probably deal.

Love ya!

I know you could do the mortuary. You are just built of that kind of stock. I can't deal. Besides that, I used to live in the the attic apartment, of this old man's house, who was a funeral director for Fairmount Cemetary. He was really a sweet old man. But he used to have these dinner parties for his funeral home buddies and he always invited me, I only attended one. Those people seriouly have social issues. I guess working with the dead for over 20 years would do that to just about anyone. I thought Goths and Criminals were the same thing... Giggle!

Revlon is boss ;)

Butterfly pavillion: Called, and they were like "we'll call you if we're interested and the person in charge of hiring doesn't take phone calls. CLICK."

Assholes.

And BTW, the mortuary is creepy if you're creeped out by it. I am not.

Ulta is cool, but I would only be part time there. Well, maybe I couldn't handle Ulta full time. I tried once and hated it.

Yeah, and it really could be worse, you're right...

Friggin' jerks... Oh, well maybe you don't want to work for people like that anyway...

Mo' power to ya, if you can dig on some mortuary folks... Good job security.

Yeah, the mortuary is looking like the option that I am going to go desperately after, like a zombie after brains.

Why?

Because that interview at Ulta may not have gone well. On my application, I listed David as my supervisor at Nordstrom, and she was like, "oh david! I love him! He's a friend of mine! Anyone who is friends with David is hired!"

that's when I started sweating...

Then, she said, "oh, I see you worked with Carol at Foley's. She's one of the managers here! Well isn't that great! We can ask our own employees about you!"

Double damn...

It actually went downhill from there, as weird as that is. I thought I was going to cry.

Well, olinger's, here I come...
