“Violet, I’ve got to go back, Willow n-needs -”
“What Willow needs is for you to be safe,” I stated, if willow was going to skin Kennedy I was pretty sure she wouldn’t want Tara around to see... I hoped she wasn’t going to, I believe she could hold on, she was strong... but... my mind flashed back to the library... and I urged Tara on...“Come on.”
I didn’t notice the journey, just urging Tara on, half dragging her back to the council. We entered the door, and Tara stumbled, great, now everyone would know we were back...
David came... practically rushing... out of his office before exclaiming
“Tara, thank God!” - glad to notice how much he cared about me... hrmph “I’ve been terribly worried. Violet, I’m not very happy with you,” he said, giving me a cross look, oh great, thanks for the concern David....
“Taking on another slayer alone was a very dangerous game to play. Is she -”
“Alive,” I replied.... although chose not to add ‘When I left her’.... “Don’t worry.”
“Then where is she?”
Ok... what best to say here... I thought...“Willow’s.... talking to her.” at least she was talking when I left...
“Oh, bloody hell,” said David, his eyes widening, and he dashed away.
Tara sat down, rubbing her wrists, I felt a little uncomfortable, and I wanted to do something, I always felt edgy after a fight, but Tara just brought out the mothering instinct in me... strange as we were practically the same age...
“Can I get you anything? Tea or something?” I offered
“N-no, I’m ok,” she replied, forcing a smile “I’ll be alright, truly. I just want to relax a little.”
I nodded, I knew where she was coming from, I think I needed to be alone with my thoughts, it must be... somewhat ... more intense for Tara
“I’ll let you alone, then,” I said, and headed for the door
“Violet?” I head my name and turned back towards her “Thank you. So much.”
I blushed a little, “No problem” I said, smiling slightly, before opening the Library door and closing it softly behind me.
I walked along the hall, not really part of the world... A nice bath, yes, with cleansing, yes,...
